Okay, so the other day I got this idea to make a tart warmer out of an old electric teapot. I love those scented wax tarts, but I’m always a little paranoid about using candles, especially with kids and pets around. So, I thought, why not repurpose something I already have?

First, I grabbed an old electric teapot that I wasn’t using anymore. It was just sitting in the back of the cupboard, gathering dust. I made sure it was unplugged, of course, and then I gave it a good cleaning. I scrubbed out any old tea residue and dried it thoroughly.
The Transformation Begins
Next, I needed something to hold the wax tarts. I found a small, heat-safe ceramic dish that fit perfectly inside the teapot’s opening. It was actually a little ramekin I used for baking. You just have to find that fits and is safe for heating!
I placed the ceramic dish inside the teapot, making sure it was stable. Then, I took a few of my favorite wax tarts and broke them into smaller pieces. This helps them melt faster and more evenly. I dropped the wax pieces into the ceramic dish.
- Find an electric teapot.
- Clean the teapot.
- Find heat-safe dish.
- Place dish.
- Break wax.
- Plug the teapot.
Finally, I plugged in the teapot and turned it on. I kept a close eye on it, just to be safe. It didn’t take long for the teapot to heat up, and soon the wax started to melt. The scent started filling the room, and it was amazing!
It worked like a charm! The teapot’s heating element gently melted the wax, releasing the fragrance without any open flame. And the best part is, when I’m done, I can just turn off the teapot and let the wax solidify in the dish. No mess, no fuss.

I’m really happy with how this little project turned out. It was super easy, and now I have a safe and convenient way to enjoy my scented wax tarts. Plus, I gave that old teapot a new life!
