Okay, so I’ve been thinking about getting a teacup poodle. I mean, who wouldn’t want a tiny, fluffy friend? So I started my great teacup poodle hunt – “tea cup poodle near me,” I typed into the search bar, fingers crossed.

The Initial Search
First, I scrolled through a bunch of websites. Some were kinda sketchy, you know, with blurry pictures and weird fonts. I skipped those real fast. Others looked more legit, with lots of info about the puppies and their parents.
Digging Deeper
I started making a list of potential breeders. I looked for ones that seemed to really care about the dogs, not just about making money. Things like health guarantees and good reviews were big pluses for me.
- Checked the breeder’s website carefully.
- Looked for health testing information.
- Read all the reviews I could find.
Making Contact
Then came the scary part – actually contacting people. I sent a few emails, asking about upcoming litters and pricing. Some never replied, which was a bummer. But a few got back to me pretty quickly and were super friendly and helpful.
Visiting Time (or Not)
Ideally, I wanted to visit the puppies in person, but with everything going on, that wasn’t always possible. One breeder offered a video call, which was awesome! I got to see the puppies playing and even “met” their mom. It felt way more personal than just looking at pictures.
I haven’t actually picked out my perfect pup yet, so I didn’t visit. but i will update soon. I got some pretty good leads, and I’m feeling optimistic! It’s definitely a process, but I’m learning a lot along the way. I’ll keep you guys posted!
